colour grading

I started by looking at other documentaries, especially those on bbc three. Like queer britain and Life on death row. Both of these do not have overly evident colour grading to them, this is because they do not want to break the verisimilitude of the story or take away any attention as that's what documentaries is predominately about.
Therefore, I decided when colour grading i would adjust things like, highlights, shadows, exposure, contrast and how sharp it is slightly to make it only seem more natural and like the human eye so that the audience can instantly get into the documentary.
WAYS i colour graded my film :
- As i had a plethora of different shots in my film i could not colour grade each individual shot so i created an adjustment layer that went on top of my film across all shots and colour graded this way, i looked at the first part, middle then end and made sure the colour grading worked for all parts which it did.
- Creation of my Adjustment layer

I then adjusted the curves on RGB colours through lumetri colour corrector. As well as adjusting the contrast, exposure, highlights and shadows.
