Day 1

My first shoot was with my two other characters seen in my film. They are shown in the, "whats to come " section at the beginning of my film. I only needed a shot of them talking to camera and then playing their instrument, however, i still wanted to plan this because i wanted it too look professional. Therefore i looked at bb3 documentary shows and looked how they did montage editing and how they framed there interviews. I saw that channel 4 and bbc 3 both had there ident somewhere on screen and often framed like the usual interview style with the subject on one side of the frame.

Research bbc 3 :

this was an interview on bbc 3 with Elliot Reed.

This was another interview on bbc 3 for the documentary, fast food babies.

- As seen in both of these, the subject is framed to one side of the shot which i will try to achieve with my subjects when filming.

- location wise i have decided that i will use a local music school and use their facilities, this worked as it was only for a short period of time which was why i could not shoot my full length sequence there.
